The Shimmy Shake Berlin Burlesque School hosts a wide variety of exciting burlesque workshops. Each class is focused on a different style or skill, to cover all facets of burlesque performance. We are proud to welcome award winning teachers from around the world so you can learn from the best in the burlesque industry.
Whether you are interested in classic Bump and Grind, Costuming, Neo, Characterization, Movement, Striptease or Styling, with our ever-changing roster and exciting list of guest teachers we have something for everyone!
Our regular and guest instructors are also able to offer special private classes for those wanting to hone existing skills or that prefer to start learning in a private environment.

Bump n’ Grind Burlesque with Sugar Vixen

Learn with Miss Viva Las Vegas 2023! Two-time Burlesque Hall of Fame competitor, 1st runner-up at the 2022 Panama Burlesque Festival, and Queen of Lake Como Burlesque Festival in 2019.
This 90 minute class explores foundational burlesque movement vocabulary with emphasis on the bump n’ grind and shake n’ shimmy! This class includes an interactive warm up and stretch, a breakdown of technique and a choreography review. All levels welcome! Please wear clothes you feel comfortable moving in and bring water and heels.
Burlesque Floorwork with Sugar Vixen

This is a 90 minute workshop that explores intermediate to advanced-level floor work moves and puts them into a burlesque context. Learn how to get down and dirty on the floor and back
up on your feet again with control and ease!
This class will include a warm up/stretch, followed by a breakdown of movement vocabulary and a choreography review. Please bring some form of knee support and your favourite pair of dancing heels. Some mobility modifications will be provided.
Requirements:
– Open to all levels, though keep in mind this is a floorwork class and there will be some challenging elements
– Knee support required: knee pads, thigh high socks, yoga mat, fuzzy blanket, etc. We have extra mats at the studio if you need!
