The Shimmy Shake school has a fabulous roster of bump’n’grind teachers offering a variety of burly skills and specialisations. All of our regular tutors are working burlesque industry professionals with a wealth of performance knowledge and a love for sharing their skills in the classroom. Whether you are looking to learn something classic and pretty, funny and freaky, dance fitness and movement based, or theatrical and dramatic, our teachers have you covered!

Lolita Va Voom (USA) School Director

Classically trained as a modern, tap, and ballet dancer for fifteen years, Lolita decided to trade in her pointe shoes for pasties and hit the road! Originally from California by way of Seattle, Lolita now calls Berlin home.
Lolita has been seen on stages across the world, including Berlin, Malta, Tallinn, New York, and Los Angeles. She has been featured at the Bristol Burlesque Festival, Stockholm Burlesque Festival, and Prague Burlesque Festival, and is a regular performer at Olivia Jones’ Bunny Burlesque in Hamburg, Germany.
Lolita is the producer of Jews! Jews! Jews!, A minori-tease Cabaret, the only queer Jewish-centric cabaret of it’s kind in Europe, which has been awarded multiple grants and toured throughout the continent. She also produces (st)Rip it Off, a queer neo-burlesque show, and Panty, a FLINTA party at SO36, in Berlin. She is the headmistress at the Shimmy Shake School for burlesque in Berlin.
Lolita draws from her 15+ years of professional dance training for high energy, dance based burlesque performances with a creative flair. Let Lolita entice, excite, and thrill you!
La Viola Vixen (Australia)

Queen of the Quiver! Viola is known across the globe for her ground shaking shimmy and striking stage presence, said to be a vision of golden age burlesque brought to life before your very eyes. Performing sassy stripteases in the world’s most notorious festivals and cabaret cities since 2006; notably headlining the Australian Burlesque Festival tour in 2017!
Viola is also renowned for her productions and teaching of the tease!
She is the owner and founder of The Shimmy Shake Berlin Burlesque School, The co-founder of Berlin Burlesque Academy and the previous owner of The Bombshell Burlesque Academy in Brisbane, Australia. She has carved herself quite the reputation as a unique strip-artiste. Viola’s impeccable sense of theatricality and captivating command of old school burly-q and classic showgirl dance styles sees her at the forefront of the international burlesque comeback.
Lotti Lieblich (Germany)

Lotti Lieblich knows how to mesmerize her audience with her incomparable charm, her glamorous charisma and her cheeky sense of humor. Inspired of performers of the roaring 20s to 40s, she´s going to take you into an intoxicating world of sensuality and dancing elegance and makes the golden era of Burlesque come to life again.
Lotti is a classic Burlesque beauty who wants to empower other women to become aware of their own beauty, strength and femininity. No matter what size or age you are, which background you have, or what else is making you feel like you can´t do it, every woman can be sexy and Lotti is going to help you, to find your inner (seductive) goddess.
Chiqui Love (Venezuela)

Chiqui Love is an explosive cocktail of the finest Venezuelan rum mixed with the juiciest peach liquor.
Her shows are filled with sass and cheeky attitude, an advocate for fair working conditions and rights for sex workers around the globe, with this in mind she helped founding two strippers collective one in London and now Berlin.
Her burlesque career stated in the strip pubs of east London and since then it has taken her to international stages and festivals, in the UK, Spain, Portugal where she continues to bring magic and naughty fun to a wide variety of crowds.
Mimi Oh La La (France)

Mimi Oh La La is a Berlin-based French performer, a sweet Pin Up Princess! She is the co creator of Cherry Cherie Burlesque and the Alpes Burlesque Festival, as well as Oh La La Pasties by Mimi.

Seliquere is one of Berlin’s best known masculine striptease and pole artists and instructors! She is a member of Magic Dyke and the founder of Female Gaze Berlin. She can be seen on stages and in classrooms around the world bringing her special brand of sensual masc striptease to students everywhere!

Vivi as in vivacious, vibrant and voluptuous – She is bendy, bubbly and bouncy – moreover, she has big boobs! ???? Vivi is made of splenda, spice and everything both naughty and nice.
